Is anyone else just slightly ready for the summer shuffle to wrap up and the fall reset to begin?

We all love a little R&R, but let’s be honest, summer can toss our routines right out the window. For some, the house is busier with family around. For others, there’s more travel, lighter work schedules, or the endless loop of camp drop-offs and pick-ups. Summer can sometimes feel like we don’t get a single minute to ourselves.

No matter our age or stage, summer has a way of keeping us on our toes. We often look to fall, after Labor Day, after school starts, after college drop-off because this is the magic moment when life will “settle down” and we’ll finally get back to our routine.

But… what if we didn’t wait?

What if you started right now on that plan you’ve been saving for September? The one you think will be easier when your calendar “opens up” (spoiler: it may not).

We’ve still got five months left in this year.

Imagine how good it would feel to begin today with just one practice that was just for you. It doesn’t need to be an overhaul, just one little thing you want to incorporate that serves you. (Moving for 10 minutes, journaling, scheduling quiet time, adding a protein into your nutrition plan)

Because here’s the truth: the seasons of life can ebb and flow but unless we choose ourselves and make time, it really never slows down. Fall has its own chaos like back-to-school nights, sports schedules, work projects picking up speed or maybe some fun travel begins to pick up. There’s always something that demands our attention.

That’s why now is the best time to choose you.

You don’t need a perfectly organized schedule to start, you just need the decision. Waiting for the “right” moment often means watching another season pass without making the change you crave. Start now, and you’ll create your own momentum.

I am reading Fired Up- How to Turn Your Spark into A Flame and Come Alive at Any Age by Shannon Watts, Founder of Moms Demand Action.

I love this book and can hardly put it down. I think it is a must read for every woman no matter what age or stage.

It has been stated that it can take 21 days to start a new habit. There are studies out there that report different findings. Everyone is different. What might work for one person, may not work for someone else. I came across this great article/blog and wanted to share it with you.
